My Dear Reader and Friend My name is LaDron Thomas, my nickname is L.T. I am thirty years old and I'm serving as a minister of the Gospel to the people in Germany. It was in Washington State and through the ministry of Mike Kinney at the Temple Baptist Church where I was saved as a thirteen year old bus kid, and at the age of seventeen and under godly mentoring of my youth leader Rob Miles, I felt the call of God to do missions work in Germany. I graduated class of ’98 at the River Ridge High School in Olympia (Lacey) and with the prayerful counsel of my Pastor and the will of my father I joined the U.S. Army. After my initial processing and training I was sent to Germany (by design) to serve there. I likened myself to a government employed missionary, and I had the time of my life. I came there speaking fluent German, enabling me to befriend and witness to the German people. I also had the wonderful privilege to be pastored by Gib Wood at the great Rheinland Baptist Church. In 2001, my tour in Germany came to an accelerated end, and with tears of sorrow for having to relocate I left much behind. I was able to have lead up many evangelistic meetings, preached in many national Churches and to the glory of God, lead souls to our Lord Jesus Christ. The majority of which are Russian Germans, with whom I have fallen in love. The Russian Germans are often so receptive to the Gospel and inclined toward spiritual things, more so than the average German would be. It was then when I began to learn Russian, and to the Glory of God I can now converse and witness in Russian. I began school at the West Coast Baptist Bible College after my tour in the military and Praise God I've completed it. I will be returning (Lord willing) to Germany in February to further obey and explore the will of God for my life there. |
